The 1st of September 2018 OiW Process formed Norip Solutions from what used to be the Molde department. The purpose is to have a strong focus on engineering and a vision to bring both onshore and offshore industry into the future of Digitalization and Automation.
The founder of Norip Solutions, Oiw Process AS is a Porsgrunn based company formed by three engineers in 2013. With extensive experience from both theoretical and practical project executions they put their efforts into innovation and R&D which led to the founding of several new companies based on new ideas. Norsep is a revolutionary separation process makes it possible to turn the toxic end product known as fly ash into useful resources. InlineTest makes testing of high pressure safety valves (PSV’s) possible to do inline in the process. This solution saves both cost and time since, today, every PSV needs to be dismounted and transported to a workshop for testing.
Since the start the theoretical part of OiW has been situated in Porsgrunn and the more practical, engineering part, in Molde. As Oiw kept growing the decision was made to split the Molde department into a pure engineering company, Norwegian Industrial Process (Norip) Solutions. The purpose for the split was to make it more clear for the clients that Norip Solutions did engineering and OiW Process more of the innovation and theoretical laboratory work.
Norip Solutions can take on engineering of all kinds of process technology projects, be it updates on current sites or new installations, onshore or offshore. The competence includes all fields from design, instrumentation, project management and everything in between. A strong focus in all projects will be to use the new technology fields such as automation and digitalization to optimize the clients process both on effectivity, reliability as well as cost and energy savings.
For the moment Norip Solutions has five employees with different backgrounds and competences. The potential within the field is big and growth is expected within the coming years.
